I am a Research Scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). My interests focus on developing software tools for scientific research with particular interest on computational modeling in astronomy and plant biology. I am a Co-PI for the Crops in Silico project, the primary developer for the yggdrasil package, and a contributor to the yt project. I am particularly interested in making connections across disciplines and finding new avenues for cross polination between disciplines.
Continued development of tools using voronoi tessellation to analyze astrophysical simuulations and contributed to the yt project.
Performed and analyzed N-body simulations of galaxy flybys to better understand the role that flybys play in galaxy evolution, particularly in the formation of stellar bars.
Developed software tools for visualizing the LIGO antenna pattern and extracting gravitational wave signals from LIGO data using a Bayesian approach.
